Who doesn't like tiramisu. Now there are all the versions, the traditional, with strawberries, with pistachio... with ladyfingers, with pavesini, and so why not also try the Matcha Green Tea Tiramisu?
It is very tasty, truly an original alternative to traditional tiramisu.
Even the presentation of the dish will be beautiful, this green cream will really make a great impression.
Preparation time: ~30 min
Place the water in a saucepan to heat. Place matcha green tea and sugar in a shallow dish and add hot water. Dip the ladyfingers in matcha tea. Mix the egg yolks with the sugar, then slowly incorporate the mascarpone. In another bowl, whip the egg whites and incorporate them into the cream until you reach a smooth and creamy mixture. Add the tea powder. Cover the base of a baking dish with the cream then create a first layer with the ladyfingers soaked in green tea. Cover with a layer of cream and continue alternating ladyfingers and cream. Sprinkle a small amount of matcha green tea over the tiramisu. Let it rest in the fridge before serving. You can use a baking dish or make convenient single portions. You can also use other types of biscuits soaked in Matcha green tea.
You can use a baking dish or make comfortable ones single portionsin cocottes or put inside original glass jars.
You can also use pavesini instead of ladyfingers or any type of biscuit soaked in Matcha green tea.
If you want alighter alternativeyou can replace the mascarpone with Greek yogurt.
Finally, you can add the matcha powder only to half the mascarpone cream and alternate a green layer with the white one, the dish will be really beautiful and above all good.
Depending on the processing of this incredible tea you can find 3 different gradations: the Ceremonial, the Premium and the Culinary.
For this recipe I recommend using a Premium Grade for a slightly stronger flavour.
Or the Culinario which is very suitable for the preparation of cake and biscuit recipes.
The Cerimonial Grade which is the most prized, is ideal for preparing tea.
