All you need to know about Açai Berry Powder
What is açai?
Açaí is a blue-purple berry that originated in the rainforests of the Amazon. Used since time immemorial by native Brazilians, it is now considered a superfood. Thanks to its nutritional properties, it is no longer used only as a staple food of Brazilian populations, but is also conquering Europe.
Taste and texture
The best açaí berries come from organic farming. The açai fruit has a good flavor similar to blueberry and chocolate, so it can be consumed just like any other fruit. However, it is difficult to find it commercially as is, while it is now widely available on the market in the form of beverages, supplements, or powder.
How to take Açai
Organic Açaí berry powder is a good way to incorporate this valuable fruit into one's diet. Açai berry powder should be dissolved in water, smoothies or breakfast drinks to make it easy and enjoyable to take.
What is the difference between Açai Freeze Dried and Açai Spry Dried?
Because the berries undergo spoilage within 24 hours of harvesting, it is virtually impossible to find them commercially fresh and just picked. Therefore, processing them into powder remains one of the best ways to take this valuable food, but one must make sure that the berries are processed properly. To preserve all nutritional values, the berries must be processed or frozen within 24 hours of harvest. There are two ways to make açai pulp into a powder.
Why can açaí powder occasionally feel slightly damp or form small lumps?
Açaí powder naturally contains healthy fats, which can cause it to feel slightly damp or form small lumps. This is normal and does not affect the quality or freshness of the product. A slightly humid texture does not mean the powder is spoiled or improperly dried.
