Homemade Banana and Cacao Mousse: A Healthy Snack for Kids
Want to prepare a healthy, homemade snack for kids that is quick and requires only a few pantry staples? We recommend a fresh and delicious banana and cacao mousse!
This easy and quick recipe is perfect for kids (and adults) who need a sweet incentive to eat more fruit. It's not only easy to prepare but also very tasty and suitable for picky eaters.
NaturaleBio's cacao powder and nibs, made from raw beans, have many benefits: they contain protein, numerous minerals, and low sugar, making them a perfect match with bananas for a healthy snack for everyone, young and old!
This idea comes from our friends at Babysits, who are experts in taking care of the little ones.
Preparation Time:
Minimal, provided the bananas are already frozen. Ideal for breakfast, snack, or dessert.
Ingredients (2 servings):
300 g bananas (about 3 bananas)
100 ml plant-based milk
10 g cacao powder
Cacao nibs for decoration
Instructions:
Cut the bananas into small pieces and let them freeze for 3 to 4 hours.
Allow the banana pieces to thaw for a few minutes, then blend the bananas using an immersion blender or a regular blender while slowly adding the plant-based milk.
Once the consistency is creamy to your liking, pour the mousse into a bowl and add the cacao powder as a decoration or mix it into the mousse.
Add a handful of cacao nibs for decoration and a crunchy touch!
Delicious as it is, eaten by the spoonful, but also great spread on toast or crackers as a healthy alternative to spreads. You can even decorate it with more fresh fruit to create fun "smile-toast"!
