The most romantic holiday of the year is about to arrive: we reveal many delicious and healthy recipes for a Valentine's Day menu... with superfoods!
Some people don't like Valentine's Day, while others await it with joy all year round. Since going out for dinner is still a little complex due to the restrictions of the period, we suggest some truly spectacular and delicious dishes, to prepare at home and to bring to the table to amaze your sweetheart or, better yet, to cook together.
Starting your romantic evening with some appetizers is certainly a nice idea, even more so if it is an finger-food original, colorful and rich in micronutrients, as well as flavour!
Soy and maca meatballs
Ingredients
Procedure
Delicious fried balls, to be enjoyed dipped in a fresh yogurt sauce: and maca, as we know, is energizing and can give a "spicy" touch to your evening.
Just add the cooked potato together with the soy granulate and maca to a blender; blend until you obtain a smooth mixture, if it is too soft, add a few tablespoons of chickpea flour, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Wetting your hands with a little water, take a small amount of dough and form the meatballs. Heat the oil in a pan and cook the meatballs until they are golden brown; for a lighter result, you can cook them in the oven or in the air fryer.
Separately, prepare the sauce by combining the juice and zest of half a lemon with the yogurt, a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the meatballs, if desired also skewered on a toothpick, with the previously steamed broccoli and the yogurt sauce for dipping!
The main course is really super, why recommend it Sonia Peronaci: fresh homemade pasta with organic cocoa!
These cocoa strips, kneaded by hand and served with your favorite sauce, are as easy to make as they are tasty to taste. Here you see them served with a sauce of gorgonzola, pears and walnuts, but you can use your imagination and also create a vegan or, why not, spicy combination.
La seconda recipe of a very elegant first course for Valentine's Day, also signed by Sonia, is the Sencha green tea risotto: delicate and refined, perfect in combination with fish and a glass of bubbles.
One leads to another: no, they are not your lover's kisses, but ours coconut truffles and Manuka honey!
Ingredients
Procedure
Preparing them is very simple, just mix the yogurt with the honey, add the coconut flour and the grated coconut and work with a spatula until you obtain a smooth mixture. Moisten your hands with a little water and form balls, which you will roll in the chopped dried fruit. Let them rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving... the advice is to make lots of them, because they end immediately!
We hope we have given you some useful ideas: what will you prepare for Valentine's Day?
