Pantone Color of the Year: 50 shades of superfood

It's one of the first questions many people ask themselves in the first months of the new year: what is the current Pantone Color of the Year ?

Pantone, in fact, is an American graphics company specialized in the world of colour, which every year dictates the ""fashion"" relating to the nuance that will be most popular on the catwalks, in interior design and... why not, even on the tables!

Know what the Pantone color of 2022 is? It is “Very Peri”, a beautiful shade of blue-violet.

Very Peri, the Pantone color of 2022

The starting color of the Very Peri, code 17-3938, is the so-called periwinkle blue.

The name derives from the flower of the same name, the periwinkle, with splendid shades of light blue-violet tending towards grey. A cold but still ""welcoming"" color, very elegant, just think of the incredible use that fashion brands are already making of it!

But why this color? The tones of blue-violet, and periwinkle in particular, are often associated in chromotherapy with the  will to relieve anxiety and stress, with calm, rest, spirituality and  meditazione.

And after the past two years, we certainly all need serenity and to rediscover contact with ourselves!

Superfood colors for the Pantone 2022 palette

In addition to the Very Peri, the complementary color palette planned for 2022 by Pantone is very natural and refined.

We had fun finding similarities with the colorful notes of our superfood powders:

  • Cloud Dancer (code 11-4201) is the pearly white color of coconut oil when it thickens below 23 degrees.
  • Hawtorne Rose (code 18-1718) is a slightly lighter version of our Açai.
  • Dried Moss (code 14-0626) reminds us of  psyllium husks.
  • Chai Tea (code 17-0949) is similar to the “juicy” orange of  rosehip powder.
  • Foliage (code 16-0237) approaches the green of the moringa.
  • Treetop (code 18-0135) is the dark green tone of the Sencha tea leaves.
  • Greenbriar (code 16-6127) makes us think of  spirulina tablets, with their green that fades into the bluish.
  • Volcanic Glass (code 18-3908) is the dark brown almost black of our granella cocoa.
  • Deep Taupe (code 18-1312) is instead similar to the light brown and warmer tone of cocoa powder bio.
