All you need to know about Coconut Oil
What is Coconut Oil?
Coconut oil is a vegetable fat found in coconut pulp. The modern technique for extracting the oil involves drying the pulp, before cold pressing it to release the oil.
Taste & Texture
Our coconut oil comes from organic farming. It has a delicate tropical fragrance, and is a liquid above 23°C. At colder temperatures, it becomes solid, taking on a white colouring and a consistency similar to butter.
Storage
Coconut oil can be stored just like any other oil in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and heat. If you prefer to use your coconut oil in a solid form, even during the summer, you can store it in the fridge. Just make sure you take the desired amount of oil with a clean and dry spoon. To return coconut oil to a liquid form, simply hold it in your hands for a few seconds or heat the desired quantity in a glass bowl over a bain-marie.
Is Coconut Oil suitable for cooking?
Yes! Coconut oil is heat-stable and ideal for a variety of uses in the kitchen: from sautéing and baking to adding a tropical touch to smoothies or dressings. Its high smoke point and mild flavor make it a versatile alternative to other vegetable fats.
Can NaturaleBio coconut oil be used as a cosmetic?
NaturaleBio coconut oil is a food-grade, virgin, cold-pressed oil, produced for culinary use. Like many vegetable oils, it is sometimes used by customers for body or hair care. However, it is not formulated or marketed as a cosmetic product, and we do not provide specific recommendations for cosmetic use.
Is NaturaleBio coconut oil cold-pressed?
Yes. NaturaleBio coconut oil is cold-pressed, meaning it is extracted without the use of high heat or chemical solvents. This method helps preserve the oil’s natural properties, aroma and quality.
Is NaturaleBio coconut oil deodorized?
No. NaturaleBio coconut oil is natural and non-deodorized. It is cold-pressed and retains its natural aroma and characteristics, without any deodorization process.
