At this time of year the recipe for Frappe with Coconut Oil could certainly not be missing.
The atmosphere of the carnival is enchanting, the children parade through the streets of the center with the funniest masks, the streets colored with confetti and streamers.
And then the frappe which are inevitable, at carnival is a traditional recipe.
Frappe, Chiacchiere or Carnival Lies, these are the many ways to call this truly exquisite dessert!
To be fried or in the lighter version (but still delicious!) baked.
Preparation time: ~35 min
Servings for 30 frappes
Knead together all the ingredients: flour, eggs, soft coconut oil, sugar, a pinch of salt, bicarbonate of soda and the zest of a lemon. When you have obtained a smooth mixture, which does not have to be sticky, make a ball. Cover it with cling film and let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Take the dough and roll it out with the help of a rolling pin or with the grandma duck. Get a thin sheet of dough and cut it into strips with the help of the serrated washer. Bring the peanut oil to temperature and fry the frappe with coconut oil for a few minutes. When they are golden, place them on absorbent paper. Once dry, dust them with plenty of icing sugar
If you prefer a lighter version of the Frappe, can be baked in the oven.
They should be placed on a baking tray with baking paper and bake at 200° for about 10 minutes or until they are nice and golden.
An even tastier idea? Melt some chocolate in a bain-marie data-mce-fragment="1"> with a spoonful of coconut oil, immerse the frappe up to half and leave to cool. They will be even tastier!
The Coconut Oil gives a crunchiness and a unique flavour.
A very simple recipe that really cannot be missing from your table at Carnival!
